7 Days to Die | How to Switch Arrows
Whatever weapon you rely on in 7 Days to Die, you’ll come to find there are a lot of ammo types for each one. Because different types of ammo are better suited for different situations, you don’t want to deplete ammo you’ve been stockpiling which may not be effective in the moment. The bow, for example, comes with five different types of arrows, each designed for a specific circumstance. That’s why it’s critical to know how to switch arrows, so you can rely on the best type when you need it. Luckily, we can help out with that.
How to Switch Arrows in 7 Days to Die
To switch between arrows in 7 Days to Die, simply hold the R key. Though this is the reload key, holding it as opposed to tapping it will activate a pop-up window that will display your different arrow types. From there, simply click on the arrow type you want to equip them. In fact, this doesn’t just work to switch arrows, but for all weapons and their varying ammo types in the game. If you don’t have any other arrows to switch to, then no options will appear when you hold “R”.
There are five types of arrows in 7 Days to Die. These are Stone, Iron, Steel, Flaming, and Exploding arrows. Obviously, Iron arrows are better than Stone, and Steel is the best of them all. However, Flaming and Exploding arrows are a variant of Steel arrows that you’ll want to swap to during certain situations. For example, Fire arrows apply to damage to zombies for 14 seconds after they are hit. So you can usually hit a zombie with one and they will die due to the passive fire damage.
Exploding arrows, on the other hand, have many functions. Needless to say, their main use is to blow things up. However, this comes in very handy in a lot of situations, especially if you’re in a pinch and need to clear a wave of zombies. They also work as a great way to set up traps around your base and lure zombies in for an explosive trap. That’s why it’s dire that you know how to switch arrows, and between other ammo types in the game.
