Assassin’s Creed Mirage Has Been Revealed By Ubisoft

There’s a lot of enticing aspects that come with stylish stealthy games and one of the biggest names in that category is announcing a new one. With Assassin’s Creed having a near-monopoly on assassin-related gaming, Ubisoft has confirmed details surrounding a new entry in the series, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Despite the game revolving around assassination, it has also received a lot of credit for the amount of detail put into its historical accuracy. However, as the series has continued to grow and expand, it is getting more difficult to find historical set pieces off of which to take graceful leaps of faith.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Revealed

The first Assassin’s Creed game came out in 2007 and immediately rocketed to popularity. It was seen as one of the most detailed and realistic games on the market. After Assassin’s Creed Valhalla came out in 2020, Ubisoft basically kept quiet about new developments. Now though, they are shouting and proud about Assassin’s Creed Mirage being in development. Based on the details covered by GameRant, it appears that this sequel will be returning to the Middle East, but a time period has yet to be established.

As the title would imply, Assassin’s Creed follows the story of an ancient order of assassins. Players typically take on the role of a descendant in the far future. They use a machine called the Animus to dive back in and explore the memories of their specific assassin ancestor. As the ancestor investigates and goes on numerous stealth missions, which may occasionally involve killing someone, it ties into a greater conflict between the assassins and the order of the Templars. Each game has a very full story to explore, but side quests keep being added to give more to do.

The Assassin’s Creed series is one of the most prolific action/adventure ones out there and one of the very few that takes historical detail so seriously. With Assassin’s Creed Mirage on the way, it leaves many wondering there they’re planning to go next.
