Ben 10: Power Trip Officially Announced

Ben 10: Power Trip Officially Announced for This October

Cartoon Network’s classic alien-transforming franchise will see a new co-op adventure game later this year. Set to release on October 9, Ben 10: Power Trip will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. In it, players will be able to take on new enemies as some of the series’ most iconic characters. Further, the game will offer local split-screen co-op, so both you and a friend can play as Ben Tennyson and Kevin Levin.

The short game teaser below reveals some of the game’s levels and playable characters, including Diamondhead, Heatblast, and Four Arms.

Power Trip takes place in the setting of the most recent iteration of the Ben 10 series, in which Ben and his family are currently on vacation in Europe. In this new installment to the series, the evil magician known as Hex has unleashed four bizarre crystals unto the world. Ben will have to team up with Kevin, along with Gwen and Grandpa Max, to liberate the world of these threatening crystals and defeat the mystical antagonist.

The hero-tastic game will see players solving puzzling, combating foes, and freely exploring the 3D open-world while uncovering the plot and thwarting Hex’s plans. The game has not revealed if the option to play as Kevin will be only available on co-op, or if the player can switch between Ben or Kevin in single player.

The Ben 10 series encompasses the adventures of Ben Tennyson, who acquires a mysterious extraterrestrial watch known as the Omnitrix. It turns out this watch is in fact an alien device that allows the user to transform into ten aliens using the DNA of foreign alien species. As the series goes on, Ben obtains more aliens to transform into and fights a host of powerful, supernatural, and otherworldly threats along with his grandpa Max and cousin Gwen.

The franchise has received widespread international acclaim since its debut on Cartoon Network back in 2005 and has appeared throughout games, five different shows, movies, and toys. The show has become the network’s longest-running series to date, spanning fourteen years.

The studio behind Ben 10: Power Trip has not confirmed if the game will arrive in next-gen as of writing, but seeing the close proximity of the game’s October release with the holiday season, it seems likely that we can expect an updated version for those consoles.
