Like any true open-world game, Cyberpunk 2077 aims to give power to the players, including when it comes to killing enemies. Of course, you can use the traditional methods like guns or stealth attacks, or you could get some throwing knives and channel your inner ninja skills. If that sounds appealing, then this guide is for you.
How to Get Throwing Knives in Cyberpunk 2077
To get throwing knives in Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll need to unlock the Dagger Dealer perk from the abilities list. From there, you’ll be able to purchase knives from most any weapons store or find them in lootable chests and on dead bodies. However, the easiest way will be to simply purchase them.
To actually throw the knife, equip it from your inventory then right-click on your mouse or use the left trigger to aim, and then left-click on the mouse or use the right trigger to throw it.
Unfortunately, you’re are unable to pick up knives that have already been thrown, so you’ll want to be mindful about your throws. The throwing knives are quite powerful and are capable of killing an enemy in one hit if you aim it just right, but you won’t be able to retrieve it whether you hit or miss. This is a bit annoying and hopefully a future patch will allow players to retrieve a thrown knife. But for now, you’ll just have to go get more throwing knives.
It’s also worth noting that when you go to a weapons shop to purchase more throwing knives, the number of available weaponry will vary. As you level up, you’ll be able to purchase knives in a larger quantity, which will help save you a bit of time if you go through them quickly. Your chances of finding them in chests and on dead bodies might increase as well, but we can’t say for sure.
Either way, now you have all the information you need to get started with throwing knives in Cyberpunk 2077. Good luck and be sure to take some time to aim before you release. If you’d like to know more about Night City, be sure to check out some of our other guides:
