Destiny 2 Gift of the Thunder Gods | Where Did It Go?

Destiny 2 Gift of the Thunder Gods - Where Did It Go?

Who doesn’t admire a freebie every now and then, especially when it comes to Destiny 2? From exotic weapons and fresh gear to even some of the activities, there’s no shortage of what you can get and do in Bungie’s online shooter. With 19 Seasons and counting – and the Season of the Seraph underway – it’s easy to lose track of all the content that Destiny 2 includes. The Gift of the Thunder Gods comes to mind when it involves seasonal content. The vendor offers gifts for the Guardians, but they seemed to have disappeared from the H.E.L.M. Where is it?

Unfortunately, the Gift of the Thunder Gods is no longer present in Destiny 2. Guardians won’t be able to locate it at the H.E.L.M., nor will they find a replacement for it at the Tower. It was a temporary vendor that popped up during the Season of Plunder (Season 18). At the end of the time frame, the Gift of the Thunder Gods ultimately moved out.

The disappearance of the Gift of the Thunder Gods isn’t a total loss, though. Since 19 Seasons currently exist in the world of Destiny 2, there are bound to be more opportunities where Guardians can receive other gifts. It may not be in the same form as the vendor in question here, but the Tower and the H.E.L.M. could always welcome new and returning NPCs for seasonal events.

If it’s any consolation, the intention of the Gift of the Thunder Gods was for players who haven’t tapped into Destiny 2 for some time. Be it a new Guardian or a long-lost player coming back for the action, the vendor provided exotics and Legendary weapons and armor to help them catch up. This is mainly for the Power Level grind, where it is now 1590 with the Season of the Seraph.

The Witch Queen is meeting its end on February 28, 2023. When all hell breaks loose, Lightfall will finally launch on the same day, with the beginning of Season 20. Be sure to keep an eye out for any new vendors who are giving away free items for any curious Guardians.
