Dragon Quest Treasures features two standard mechanics of any modern RPG: crafting and cooking. To use them, you’ll have to complete side quests to gain access to a pellet workshop and a canteen. However, the general store is a facility of equal importance. It’s an invaluable addition to your gang’s base for many reasons. To unlock it, you’ll first need to complete the side quest A Convenient Store. Read on to find out how.
How to Complete A Convenient Store in Dragon Quest Treasures
To complete A Convenient Store and open up the pellet workship, Miss Cecily tasks you with finding a merchant named Bricky Rix. He can be located on the Maneland. Before leaving, be sure to take note of the Treasure Forecast in order to maximize your Golden Ratio. It’s never a bad idea to increase your chances of finding good loot while you’re completing side quests.
Head off to the Maneland when your party is ready. Then, follow the A Convenient Store quest marker to make your way to the Sylphanian Stockade in the desert. The monsters here won’t be too high-leveled so they shouldn’t give you too much trouble. As always, a monster with the Sprint Forte will make the journey easier.
What Bricky Rix wants is actually incredibly easy to find. His only condition for settling down at your base is a single flintstone from you. Unfortunately, Flintstone can’t be gathered on the Maneland.
You’ll have to travel to either Cinderback or Paternoggin in order to track down some flintstone. It’s a pretty easy item to find, so it shouldn’t be hard to get your hands on some. Bring the flintstone back to Bricky Rix once you’ve found it and he’ll happily accept the opportunity to open up his store, B. Rix’s Emporium.
Although it might not seem as useful as other facilities, B. Rix’s Emporium actually plays a very important role in progression. Not only can you buy crafting and cooking materials here, but formulas and recipes as well.
New formulas unlock stronger pellets to craft at The Werks and recipes unlock rarer dishes at Chez Blancmange. Erik and Mia will need every edge in battle that they can get, so completing A Convenient Store should be one of your first priorities.
