Elden Ring Jellyfish Shield | Where to Find

Elden Ring Jellyfish Shield - Where to Find

Some of the best items and armaments in Elden Ring are ones you have you explore to uncover. One of them, a transparent greatshield, is particularly striking. It’s called the Jellyfish Shield, and despite its supple appearance, it’s actually one of the better greatshields in the game. That’s because it grants access to a unique skill that bolsters attack power. Here’s the location you need to search to find your own.

Where to Find the Jellyfish Shield in Elden Ring

The Jellyfish Shield is found in the western reaches of Liurnia on the path leading to Caria Manor. To find it, start at the Foot of the Four Belfries Site of Grace, then simply head north. The shield is sitting among a corpse and overturned cart being guarded by Jellyfish.

If you haven’t reached this location yet, don’t worry, you will soon. You can reach the western cliff simply by heading to the lake’s western edge. The earth rises just beyond the dragon’s roost where you find the Glintstone Key used to access Raya Lucaria Academy.

An unusually high number of items in Elden Ring are sitting out in the open. However, it’s somewhat rare for a unique shield to be so poorly guarded. Combined with the fact that it can be found so early, many players may discount this shield entirely. But they shouldn’t, and here’s why.

The Jellyfish Shield is technically a greatshield. These are typically meant for more Strength-oriented builds. However, this one isn’t especially heavy, meaning it can be used by characters who haven’t pumped stat points into Strength yet. And, like other greatshields, it offers 100% physical damage negation, regardless of how it looks or what its in-game description says.

Since it’s a unique shield, it also carries a unique skill. The Contagious Fury skill boosts your attack power by 20% for 30 seconds. It only costs 9 FP to cast, too, making it a solid choice for characters who aren’t focused around magic. Still, if pumping out damage is the name of the game, both the Jellyfish Shield and Contagious Fury are a good fit for Strength-oriented builds.
