Regardless of who comprises your unit in Fire Emblem Engage, increasing their Support Rank will greatly benefit you in battle. Because a higher support rank makes those challenging fights a little easier to take on, and it will also help you keep your friends alive. That’s why it’s worthwhile to unlock and use the Fortune Teller, as it can provide insight into how to increase your unit’s Support Rank more quickly. However, first, you must unlock and know how to use the fortune teller. For help with those, keep reading below.
How to Use the Fortune Teller in Fire Emblem Engage
To unlock the Fortune Teller in Fire Emblem Engage, you need to complete Chapter 15: Dancer in the Ruins. In this chapter, you’ll help Seadall escape the Northern Fortress. Once you do, you’ll be able to recruit him to your roster of playable characters. This is a requirement, because Seadall is the Fortune Teller and recruiting him is how you unlock the mechanic. After you’ve recruited him, head back to Somniel, and a notification will pop up saying “The Fortune-Teller is open.”
Now that you have Fortune Telling unlocked, you need to go and find Seadall to use it. To do that, simply head south from the Plaza in Somniel and take a left towards where the Divine One keeps their animals, Seadall’s Fortune Telling Stall will be right there. However, it’s good to note that Seadall will only tell fortunes during the night. Furthermore, using the Fortune Teller in Fire Emblem Engage is free of charge and you can do it for any unit from your available roster.
When you select a unit for a fortune telling, you will get insight into their thoughts, such as what the character is worried about and who they are thinking about. While the characters’ worries really have no implications, who they are thinking about does. That’s because when you pair one character in battle with another one they are thinking about, it will increase their support rank together. So in conclusion, make sure to pair characters with others whom they are thinking about, in battle, to increase their support rank.
