Hogwarts Legacy Ashwinder Eggs | Where to Find

Spell-casting and defeating Dark Wizards aren’t the only big activities that you can do in Hogwarts Legacy. As a fifth-year student, you’ll be engaging in different experiments that might require more than just a lesson. The potion-making aspect comes to mind, with one reliable drink that the player can consume for a defensive edge. This is the Erudus Potion, and it requires Mongrel Fur and Ashwinder Eggs. Of course, Mongrel Fur comes from the vicious four-legged beasts beyond Hogwarts, but where can players locate Ashwinder Eggs? We have a couple of notes to keep in mind as you take up your broom and fly away.

Ashwinder Eggs are typically found among mountainous and other rocky areas throughout the Hogwarts Legacy map. They’re distinguished by a red hue, a result of their intense, signature heat. It’s best to travel at night when it comes to locating these, for the red glow will ultimately assist in finding the eggs in question. They can be found in small groups, so be sure to grab as many as you can before returning to Hogwarts.

Of course, if you’re not in the flying mood, you can always visit Hogsmeade to purchase some Ashwinder Eggs. Parry Pippin sells them for 150 Galleons an egg over at his J. Pippin’s Potion Shop. Other shops across the Hogwarts Legacy map will also sell the eggs, though the Hogsmeade location is the ultimate hub for all your wizarding needs.

With your newly-acquired eggs, head over to the Room of Requirement to commence your potion-making sessions. The Erudus Potion comes to mind, as aforementioned. Initially, players got to test out the potion during one of Professor Sharp’s first Assignments. It essentially forms a rocky defensive structure upon the caster, advancing defensive capabilities that can certainly come in handy during rough sequences of peril and struggle.
