Hogwarts Legacy Gear Slots Full | How to Get More
Aside from learning spells, you will collect a variety of different pieces of gear in Hogwarts Legacy, as is typical of most RPGs. Most of the time, this will result in you hoarding your loot so you can save and use it at the most opportune time. We don’t blame you; we do it as well. The common issue with this is that you tend to max out your inventory pretty quickly. That’s why you’ll want to increase your gear slots so you can hold onto more items as soon as you can. If you’re looking to do that, read on to find out how.
How to Get More Gear Slots in Hogwarts Legacy
You get more gear slots in Hogwarts Legacy by completing Merlins Trials, which is a series of quests. You unlock them after completing the main story mission, “Trials of Merlin”, which is a bit of a ways into the game. So, until you progress to this main story mission, you’ll have to do some inventory management and make the most of your 20 gear slots.
Once you complete “Trials of Merlin”, you will see a bunch of “Merlins Trials” quests that have popped up throughout the map. Each one you complete will work towards a quest milestone and every milestone you achieve will grant you four additional gear slots. You will max out with 40 gear slots once you’ve hit every milestone; or, in other words, have completed all of Merlin’s Trials. Do note that you must claim the rewards from each Merlin Trial you complete in the Challenge menu to receive your additional inventory space.
Currently, this is the only way to increase your gear slots in the game. So you will have to do some inventory management in the meantime. One of the best ways is to sell your unwanted gear in Hogsmeade for gold in return. However, if you’re in a pinch you might just have to destroy the gear and let bygones be bygones.
