Hogwarts Legacy Imperio | How to Get
It’s nice to have some friends by your side, especially when you’re just starting as a fifth-year in Hogwarts Legacy. With classes and magical resources to study and discover, going on your own is a daring endeavor. And while you may have some companions in school, you’ll need some help when you’re outside of the castle walls. Potions and defensive items come to mind, but also the Imperio spell, known as the controlling curse. It turns one enemy that you’re facing into a temporary ally, thus having them fight against their own mates by force. Curious about Imperio, one of the Unforgivable Curses in Hogwarts Legacy? We’ll show you how to locate the sinister curse in question.
How to Get Imperio in Hogwarts Legacy
Much like the Crucio spell, Sebastian Sallow will offer dialogue options to either learn Imperio or not during the In the Shadow of Time quest. Evidently, you’ll want to learn the spell when Sebastian presents the idea to you; there won’t be another shot unless you start up with another House for a different experience.
The dialogue options to look out for are the following:
- “I’d prefer not to learn the Imperius Curse.”
- “Yes, I’d like to learn the Imperius Curse.”
Additionally, you can inquire Sebastian about his knowledge of Imperio and what exactly it warrants upon learning such a backstabbing spell.
Agreeing to option 2 will lead to a quick lesson with Sebastian. While Ominis Grunt may have his reservations on the matter, you will now have Imperio at your disposal. From there, the quest will advance with the Slytherin drama at hand, with further dialogue taking place between you and Ominis.
If you haven’t progressed through Sebastian’s series of In the Shadow of… quests, you can practice using all three Unforgivable Curses if you have access to the Dark Arts Battle Arenas. The other two include Avada Kedavra and Crucio, which are also unlockable through the aforementioned quest line. They are side quests, so be sure to keep an eye out for any letters from Sebastian as you continue to complete your assignments.
