Cooking will also help make sure that you are as ready as possible to take on all that the world of Hyrule has to throw at you. That being said, just how do you learn how to cook in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity?
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity | How to Cook
The first recipe you learn how to cook is Steamed Meat, which you obtain after completing the “Hot Meals in a Pot” quest. You learn to cook the other recipes in the game by either playing out the story as normal or by doing Cooking Quests.
To learn how to cook you need to meet three requirements. The first being that you need to complete the “Hot Meals in a Pot” quest that appears in the early game. After completing that you’ll be able to cook meals before starting a mission.
The second requirement you need to meet is to have recipes, this goes for both the game and in real life. Obtaining recipes is how you learn how to cook the various types of food that give you different boosts in missions.
The third requirement is you will need to have the ingredients that the recipe requires. You can obtain ingredients on missions or by purchasing them.
Cooking Quests are unlocked as you progress throughout the game and are optional quests that give you new recipes if that wasn’t obvious from the name. Cooking quests are usually pretty simple, usually just being about bringing the right amount of materials to the quest giver.
Now that you have a recipe, you need to know when to cook. Before you start a mission, you will be given the option to cook a meal. Cooking a meal will give you stat buffs in that mission with each recipe giving different buffs with some recipes buffing speed, health, or damage. Some even have a cost to the buff they give such as 25 percent of your health for a 10 percent boost to all other stats.
Happy cooking!
