GTA 5 has Auto in the name, which means driving is a big part of the experience. However, drifting in the game hasn’t been very easy given Rockstar’s focus on other updates. That was, until the introduction of low grip tires, a modification was put into the game with the Los Santos Tuners update for GTA Online. These tires make it a lot easier to slide around corners like you’re in an action movie. However, the tires are cool, but many players are wondering where they can get the low grip tires for GTA Online. Luckily, it’s a lot easier than you’d think!
How to Get Low Grip Tires in GTA Online
To get low grip tires in GTA Online, hop in the car you want to apply the tires to, then head to the LS Car Meet warehouse. For those who don’t know, the store is located on Popular Street, East Los Santos, and Cypress Flats. If you don’t have a membership to the car meet, you’re going to have to purchase one for $50,000. While that sounds like a lot, there are plenty of ways to make money in the game!
Once you’re inside, you’ll need to open your car menu. It’s one of the options within the interaction menu. Once the menu opens, look for the option to modify your car. If you don’t have that option, leaving the meet, and coming back in should remedy the bug.
Once in the modding menu, with functions like other car customization, it’s as simple as selecting Wheels, then Tires, then Low Grip Tires. They’ll cost you GTA$500. Once they’re equipped, you’ve now installed the low grip tires in GTA Online!
The tires are not fit for anything other than drifting, really. If you’re expecting to win races with your low grip tires, you’re going to be in for a hard time. It’s very easy to spin out with these new wheels. However, for the drift kings in the GTA Online space, these are the perfect options for taking to the streets and rounding corners the law cannot.
