Marvel's Spider-Man PlayStation 5 Remaster

Marvel’s Spider-Man PlayStation 5 Remaster Is Coming, According to Reports

According to a line in the latest edition of Game Informer magazine, a Marvel’s Spider-Man PlayStation 5 remaster is set to launch alongside the release of Miles Morales. So far, this is the first public confirmation of a remaster for the hit PlayStation 4 exclusive. Further, it seems that the remaster will come bundled with Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Spotted by Reddit user 77good123, the latest issue of Game Informer magazine reads, “Miles Morales isn’t a traditional sequel, since it comes bundled with a remastered version of Insomniac’s Spider-Man that takes full advantage of the PS5 hardware.”  If the report of the Spider-Man PlayStation 5 remaster is ture, this could make Spider-Man: Miles Morales even more appealing to players, especially if it’s priced at $60, or more. Guide Fall has reached out to Insomniac Games for a comment and will update this story if necessary.

The game was announced as part of Sony’s June PlayStation 5 reveal event and is set to release later this year. After the reveal, there was a bit of confusion surrounding the game itself, mainly if it was a sequel, a DLC, or something completely different. However, after some clarification from Insomniac, we now know that Miles Morales is a standalone game.

It seems that the game will follow the events at the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man, which saw Miles get bit by a radioactive spider and gain powers of his own. Despite Peter’s initial refusal, he has since given Miles some training and has shown him how to use and control his powers. At the time of writing, we don’t know what the main story of Miles Morales will be, but we can expect to learn more in the coming weeks and months.

When the PlayStation 5 launches later this year, Miles Morales will be one of the biggest titles for the console. If these reports are true, and a Spider-Man PlayStation 5 remaster is underway at Insomniac, this will likely only make the console more desirable for players planning to upgrade to next-gen hardware.
