Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord Module Mismatch | How to Fix
Some Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord players are currently running into a game-breaking bug known as the module mismatch error, which seems to have been caused by the latest patch. The bug in question is preventing some players from continuing their save points, leaving them unable to play their game and understandably frustrated. So is there a fix for the Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord module mismatch error?
How to Fix the Module Mismatch Error
If you are experiencing the module mismatch bug, then you’re likely pretty frustrated right now. If not, when players attempt to load their old save games, a message pops up informing them of a module mismatch and asks if they would like to load the correct modules.
Unfortunately, to fix the module mismatch bug in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord you’ll have to create a brand new campaign. It’s worth noting that it seems that players who choose to load the “correct” modules have able to continue playing their save game, but it eventually crashed after a few hours of playtime. While for other players who have done this, it won’t load the save game at all.
The source of error seems to stem from an issue with the save games being from older versions of the game. So if you are haven’t encountered this error yet, make sure you check which version you’re using and update it accordingly.
Unfortunately, other than creating a new game save, there doesn’t seem to be another way to get around this bug, until developers patch it. In the meantime, if you don’t want to risk your save getting messed up, you might want to consider playing a different game. However, the choice is really all yours!
