One Piece Odyssey | Is It Coming to Game Pass?

Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are embarking on a new adventure with One Piece Odyssey. The JRPG from developer ILCA and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment promises to bring forth an original story while adhering to the spirit of the popular anime and manga. Players will get to control Luffy and the other members of his crew as they explore open lands and defeat otherworldly adversaries. Since the new JRG is coming to the Xbox Series X|S platforms, we begin to wonder if One Piece Odyssey will be a part of the Game Pass subscription service.

Is One Piece Odyssey Coming to Game Pass?

One Piece Odyssey will not be launching onto Game Pass upon its January 13, 2023 release. The reasoning lies behind the publisher: Bandai Namco Entertainment. The entertainment giant houses a plentiful of unique franchises that are immediately recognizable, even to non-gamers. They only have a few of their titles in Game Pass, though none of them are entirely mainstream, nor are they massive triple-A games. Though this may change in the future, One Piece Odyssey will not appear on Game Pass.

At the time of writing, there are hardly any Bandai Namco Entertainment-published titles on Xbox’s online service. Aside from the available games that players can otherwise purchase, there are two titles that players check out. They are Pac-Man Museum+ and Dragon Ball FighterZ. Scarlet Nexus was excluded from the service before 2023 commenced.

Keep in mind, however, that the online service will occasionally drop some surprise games into its library. Through both the Xbox consoles and PC, players are able to anticipate which certain titles will come to Game Pass. Sometimes, barely any announcements will be made prior to a sudden release. It’s always good to peek into the service to see what will soon arrive. In the case of One Piece Odyssey, it could go either way, depending on the success of its launch and beyond. Still, it’s a relatively big title from Bandai Namco, so only time will tell as we dive into 2023.

One Piece Odyssey is launching for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on January 13, 2023.
