PlayStation Plus Free Games for October 2022

The PS Plus free games for this month include Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot.

The closest kids ever came to an artificial adrenaline high were Hot Wheels commercials. A lot of effort went into making these toy cars seem like the most extreme thing you could own. Even though the toys have lost some presence, there’s been a resurgence in the recent title Hot Wheels Unleashed. Developed by Milestone and released in 2021, kids and adults could experience a new way to play with toy care. This full-blown racing game sets up a number of wild tracks with a bunch of colorful and radical cars to tear them up. This time, it’s not just gravity doing the driving.

DC superheroes dominate the film and television industries. That’s why it’s only natural they would have a significant place in the gaming world. Coming from the efforts of NetherRealm Studios and QLOC, Injustice 2 players can duel it out with their favorite DC heroes and villains both off and online. Though, if you decide to play through the story campaign, you may be pleasantly surprised at just how much work has gone into it.

Some game concepts are so strange that you wonder how people came up with them in the first place. Thus, we have the third entry Superhot by the Superhot Team released in 2016. It’s set in a monochromatic voxel world where everything seems to be made of glass. Curiously, time only moves when you move — though this doesn’t include looking around. Using this mechanic, this game is both action-packed and strategic with literally every step you take meaning life or death. Should you make it to the end, you may uncover something sinister afoot.
