PlayStation Plus | Free Games for May 2022

The free PlayStation Plus games for May 2022 include FIFA 22, Tribes of Midgard, and Curse of the Dead Gods.

FIFA 22 is at the head of the lineup, having just been released in October of 2021 by EA. The story of FIFA games is a simple one: You play soccer. With each new entry, devs have worked to make the game more detailed ad realistic. You can challenge players around the world to matches, create your dream team, manage your stadium, and much more. For those who are truly passionate about soccer, this is the game for you.

Tribes of Midgard comes next still being under a year old with its release date in July of 2021 by the folks at Norsfell. The goal of this roguelite is to protect a sapling of the life tree Yggdrasill from the forces of Hel who seek to destroy it. You’ll also have to contend with the monstrous giants rampaging across the land. However, if you maintain and upgrade the settlement surrounding the sapling, you’ll get stronger and stand a better chance, especially if you join up with allies online.

Curse of the Dead Gods brings up the rear of the lineup and is definitely the most senior member being released in February of 2021 by Passtech Games. In this roguelike, you are plunging into the depths of a cursed temple filled with monsters and untold riches. You’ll have nothing but whatever gear you find, skills you learn, and powers you discover to carry you as far as you’re able into the temple. If the creatures don’t get you, the traps will, but you must press on.
