Psychonauts 2 Astronaut Ice Cream | Where to Find

Psychonauts 2 Astronaut Ice Cream

As a new psychic intern in Psychonauts 2, you’re expected to do a lot of chores for yourself. Little did you know that you’d also need to do the chores of all of your intern brethren! Razputin has trouble saying no, but these chores help you rank up, so… What the heck, why not? Norma’s sidequest can be annoying, as it requires you to go on a scavenger hunt across the hub world. And a lot of these items can be hidden away, but none so much as the Astronaut Ice Cream in Psychonauts 2. A callback from the first game, how hard is it to find?

Where to Find Astronaut Ice Cream in Psychonauts 2

Psychonauts 2 Astronaut Ice Cream

The Astronaut Ice Cream in Psychonauts 2 only reveals itself after you perform a screen minigame in the nerve center. Across the center, you will see monitors that light up green. Raz is expected to run around the Nerve Center and interact with all of these green monitors. The monitors are bright enough to be easily identifiable compared to their inactive counterparts. Once you’ve chased down all of the green monitors, the Astronaut Ice Cream will be yours, and you’ll have completed another part of the Norma Quest.

The Astronaut Ice Cream is one of very few items in the game that requires this much additional effort. In addition, without looking for the monitors, you’ll probably never “accidentally” run into this method of collecting the item. That being said, as soon as you activate one of these monitors, the rest will be extremely easy to find. Just knowing what to look for is the entire battle here!

There are a few items in the Motherlobe, the Quarry, the Questionable Area, and the Green Needle Gulch. That means, if you want to complete the scavenger hunt, you’ll need to complete content that locks you out of turning the quest in. Don’t worry! You’ll always be able to come back late if you plan on completing Psychonauts 2 in it’s entirety.

Now that you have some nice and… Cold? Ice cream, you can enjoy the rest of Psychonauts 2! Be sure to check out some of our other popular guides:
