There’s several guns to be found and crafted in the latest apocalyptic craze title. Like many games of the genre, Remnant: From the Ashes provides a few basic guns, and some powerful alternatives that need to be crafted from found materials. Here’s how to find and construct the Remnant: From the Ashes Devastator gun.

Remnant: From the Ashes Devastator

The Devastator is a powerful weapon, dealing incredible damage with a host of effects on enemies. It’s essentially a crossbow, termed a Long Gun in the game. With some degree of accuracy, the Devastator can deal 125 damage upon impact, and leech off 150 health over 15 seconds through a bleed effect.

While the damage potential of the Devastator is all well and good, finding its parts and crafting it isn’t so straightforward. It depends on drops from regular enemies and bosses, not unlike other unique weapons across the game. Players need to find 2 specific items, Lumenite Crystals and an Unclean Heart. 

Lumenite Crystals are fairly easy to find, as they’re littered about the game just about everywhere. Normal enemies drop them reliably, and they can be found in treasure chests scattered between the game’s four worlds. They’re also available for purchase from Ace, an NPC vendor in Ward 13. It might be tempting to sell off Lumenite Crystals, but players need at least seven to craft the Devastator. 

An Unclean Heart is the harder component to find. It’s a boss drop, dropped by a boss known as The Unclean One., who can be found on Corsus, the icy tundra turned swampy jungle planet. Players that choose to complete Corsus will eventually be forced to fight him. Special care should be taken towards his Unclean Heart once he’s killed. In addition to that, he’ll also drop five Lumenite Crystals. 

Once players have collected the Unclean Heart and seven Lumenite Crystals, the Remnant: From the Ashes Devastator can be crafted. If an insanely high damage crossbow sounds interesting, get through Corsus and The Unclean One early and quickly!
