The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword - Eldin Key Pieces

The Eldin Key Pieces in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword are essential if you want to gain entrance into the Earth Temple. To do so, you’ll need to visit the Eldin Volcano and track down all five of the key pieces. They can be tricky to find at first, but they aren’t too bad when you know where to look.

Once you’ve arrived at the Earth Temple entrance at the Eldin Volcano, go west. The first of the Eldin Key pieces is in the nearby digging spot. From there, go south and throw a bomb flower to knock down the tower on the sand ramp. Dig under the tower to find the second piece. Near the edge of a slope near the main door, you will find two Bomb Flowers. On the left, you will see a hole that is blocked with some rocks. Throw the bomb flower to explode those rocks. There, dig to find the third Eldin Key piece.

For the last two, head back to the Earth Temple entrance and go right. You will need to knock down the tower to the north by throwing a bomb flower at it. Use the tower as a bridge, cross to the other side, then take a left and go all the way south until you find a wall covered by vines. Look for some hearts around you and hang on the ledge near them to find a small grassy area.

From there, you should be able to jump on the vines and climb them until you find the entrance. There is an area where Link will catch on fire, but just run to the right and go down the slide. You can’t  avoid the heat, so go through this area as quickly as possible. Find the platform on the left, ride the air vents, and try to land on a platform on the east side. Dig there to find the fourth piece of the key.

When you find a lava pool, look for a plug in the wall once you enter the cave. Throw a bomb there to activate it and lower the level of lava. This should expose the rocks that are blocking another hole. Explode it with a bomb to reveal a dig spot in order to get the last of the Eldin Key pieces. Now, head back to the Earth Temple and you’ll be able to get inside.
